"Armenian Genocide"

How Turkey Destroyed an Entire Ancient Christi@n Civilization in just Two Years…

Horrifying story of how Musl!m majority countries treat minorities…

A Long Read #Thread

Brutal Heart Breaking History that will bring tear in your eyes.

1) The first genocide of the 20th century was not the massacre of Jews in Europe by the N@zis.

The first massacre was carried out by the Isl@mic Ottoman Empire against the ancient Christi@n nation of Armenia from 1915–17.
2) What is today East Turkey used to be the homeland of the first Armenian Christi@ns.

Islam or Turks came here later. Armenia is an ancient Christi@n kingdom and the first great empire to accept Christi@nity as a state religion.
3) It follows the Armenian Orthodox Church and is one of the most ancient and distinct group of early Christi@n churches and communities.

Their tragedy was that at the top of the Fertile Crescent they were at the crossroads of great empires crossing from east to west.
4) Yerevan, the Armenian capital, is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world.

Armenians used to be pagan before. And even after their conversion to Christi@nity, they maintained many pagan rituals such as their reverence for Mount Ararat.
5) Armenia has regularly suffered genocide by Musl!m countries throughout its long history after the Musl!m Turks spread into Anatolia (now Turkey).
6) After the Isl@mization of neighboring countries, it was divided between Shia Isl@m in the east and Sunni Turkey in the west.
7) Eastern Armenia came under Russian occupation in the 19th century, who persecuted them, but Armenian Christi@nity was protected under Russia.

Western Armenia, which was ruled by the Sunni Ottoman Empire, continued with atrocities, genocide, rape of Armenian women, etc.
8) In 1896 the Ottoman Sultan Hamid II ordered a massacre of Armenian Christians, and 300,000 Armenians were killed. This was a harbinger of the impending Armenian genocide.

In 1909 the Adana massacre occurred in which 30,000 Armenian Christi@ns were executed by Turkish Musl!ms.
9) A political revolution took place in Turkey in 1908, in which a new crop of Turkish leaders- the Young Turks- came to rule the country.

Becoz of the 'modern' name they were actually eager to 'purify' Turkey from minorities to create a 'pure modern nation', albeit by genocide.
10) The sporadic massacre of Armenian Christi@ns at the start of World War I in 1914 was about to turn into a systematic genocide.
The Armenians were accused of secretly conspiring with the Russian military, which was clearly a false allegation.
11) Fact doesn't matter in a society that is ready to blame non-Musl!ms. Turkish Musl!m forces were defeated against Russia, but retreating, they massacred Armenian Christi@ns who were Turkish citizens.

In this the army had the full support of the common Turkish Musl!ms.
12) The massacre of Armenian Christi@ns had begun by December 1914. The Turkish Musl!m state wanted to completely eliminate the Armenians.

The Armenians were asked to 'hand over all weapons'. He was to be killed for 'protest'.
13) If they did not hand over the weapons, they were charged with 'disobeying Turkish orders' and would be executed en masse.

Van, the ancient city of eastern Turkey, became one of the first centers of the 1915 Christi@n massacre.
14) When the Russians arrived in May 1915, they found 55,000 bodies of Armenian Christi@ns, more than half of the Van population before the massacre.

As of June 15, there were only 10 Christi@ns left in this ancient stronghold of Armenian Christi@ns.
15) When Ottoman armies entered Armenian villages to massacre Christi@ns, the men were immediately killed and the women raped and abducted.

Then nearby citizens and Kurdish Muslims took Christi@n children into slavery.
16) The Turkish Musl!m organization that organized the massacre was called the Committee of Union and Progress (CUP). (What a cruel irony!)

The CUP absolutely did not want Armenian Christi@ns to have any place in modern Turkey, even if it meant massacre.
17) According to Ottoman Muslim records the solution was this: to reduce the Armenian Christian population to less than 5% even in places where Armenians were more than 50%.

The Turkish state agreed that this goal could not be achieved without genocide.
18) Armenian Christians were massacred wherever they were in the war zone.

The strategy was different in the peace sector. Peace Zone Armenians were ordered to 'march towards the Syrian desert', as they could not be relied upon during the war.
19) Where were they being taken? Towards the Syrian desert! The Ottoman Muslim state was by far the most barbaric state in the world.

There was no show of tolerance. Sending Armenians to the desert was their genocide and the Turks proudly accepted.
20) The Turkish state came up with a constructive solution to take over houses, villages and entire towns vacated by Armenian Christians.

He invited Muslim tribes from all over the Middle East and the Caucasus to besiege Armenian Christian homes to settle in Turkey.
21) The Muslim tribes of the Caucasus, such as the Chechens & Circassians & the Kurds of Syria, also rejected the Turkish call.

Islamic hatred of non-Muslims filled these citizens with unimaginable barbarism & they gladly assisted the Ottoman state in the genocide of Armenians.
22) Ottoman Musl!m authorities appointed Musl!m imams to encourage migrant Musl!m tribes to kill Armenian Christi@ns.

Financial rewards were given to those Musl!ms who answered the call of the state and killed Armenian Christi@ns.
23) The massacre started in 1915. This time the Turks wanted to usurp Armenian properties for the Musl!ms.

They were driven out of their homes and taken to the desert. The men were separated from the women and children and were shot first.
24) The execution sites of Armenian Christi@ns were chosen near highways, in rugged mountainous areas, and near lakes, wells, cisterns and rivers so that bodies could be hidden and disposed of easily.

Armenian Christi@ns were thus taken on a death march.
25) Turk Musl!m soldiers would have lived with these caravans.
They demanded a ransom to save Armenian Christi@ns knowing that no Armenian was actually able to pay them.
Those who could not pay were killed, which meant most Armenians.
26) Camps were set up near Erzindjan to control the flow of killings.
The bodies of the massacred Armenians will be dumped in the nearby Kemah Wadi. Sometimes they were pushed off mountain cliffs.
Thousands of people died in this way near the lake.
27) Armenian Christi@ns were forced to march w'out food & water.
Whoever fell due to extreme exhaustion, he was immediately shot, whether it was a child or a woman. There were so many masacres that Turkish highways would be covered for miles with the bodies of Armenian Christi@ns
28) Immersing Armenian Christi@ns in lakes and rivers was an interesting way of the Turkish Musl!m state.

Two people were tied together and drowned in the river to prevent them from swimming and to save the rope.
29) Millions of Armenians were killed and thrown into rivers. All these rivers used to join the mega rivers of the Tigris and Euphrates.

So many Armenian bodies were dumped in these rivers that they blocked the rivers and needed to be cleaned.
30) The bodies of Armenian Christi@ns used to get stuck in the banks of rivers.

And yet so many people were massacred by Turkish Musl!ms that some Armenian bodies traveled more than 2000 kilometers across Iraq to reach the Persian Gulf.
31) And as usual some Armenians had converted to !slam. Those who resisted were killed.

Where they were more than 5%, they were massacred by the Ottomans. 99% of the Armenian Christi@ns in Erzerum were massacred.
32) Armenian women were also abducted and used as sex slaves.
During World War I, in the markets of the Musl!m city of Damascus, many Armenian women were sold - naked - like cattle.
Many were sold in Arab markets and bought by Hajz pilgr!ms.
33) During the two years of 1915-17, 1.5 million Armenian Christi@ns were massacred by Turkish Musl!ms, about half of the entire Armenian population.

Only eastern Armenia which was under Russian control escaped such a fate.
34) But almost the whole of Western Armenia was massacred in one of the most barbaric and horrific genocide in the history of mankind.

And it was a 'necessary' act to create a 'pure Turkish Musl!m nation state', for modern Turkey.
35) In this way a Musl!m power commits complete genocide of its non-Musl!m minorities.
A non-Musl!m minority in any Musl!m country can face this fate anytime.
The incidents happening in front of its Hindu minorities in Bangladesh are moving in this direction.

The entire discussion around Facebook’s disclosures of what happened in 2016 is very frustrating. No exec stopped any investigations, but there were a lot of heated discussions about what to publish and when.

In the spring and summer of 2016, as reported by the Times, activity we traced to GRU was reported to the FBI. This was the standard model of interaction companies used for nation-state attacks against likely US targeted.

In the Spring of 2017, after a deep dive into the Fake News phenomena, the security team wanted to publish an update that covered what we had learned. At this point, we didn’t have any advertising content or the big IRA cluster, but we did know about the GRU model.

This report when through dozens of edits as different equities were represented. I did not have any meetings with Sheryl on the paper, but I can’t speak to whether she was in the loop with my higher-ups.

In the end, the difficult question of attribution was settled by us pointing to the DNI report instead of saying Russia or GRU directly. In my pre-briefs with members of Congress, I made it clear that we believed this action was GRU.

பொருள்:
