What are the rules for keeping the idol of Bagalamukhi Maa at home?

Sadhak needs to follow the rules while doing baglamukhi anusthan.

1. Baglamukhi anusthan (Baglamukhi puja) can be done at home. Sadhak does not need to go to any temple.

2. Place a baglamukhi photo & yantra at your puja temple.

3. Sadhak must do constant number of mantra jaap

everyday. if you want to complete your anusthan in 40 days then 32 malas needs to be done everyday. In case in the beginning of anusthan if you are not able to do 32 malas then you can start with less numbers and then increase day by day. Numbers of malas can be increased but

but can not be decreased.

4. Haldi Mala (Rosary of 108 beads which is made up of turmeric) should be used to chant baglamukhi mantra. A rosary has one hundred eight beads but only hundred mantras are counted.

5. Sadhak should maintain the celibacy in austhan period.

6. Sadhak must sit on yellow asana, must wear yellow clothes & should offer yellow sweets to ma baglamukhi.

7. In anusthan period do not hurt anyone & keep silence as much as possible

What is the relation between Marathas and Varanasi?

In the 18th century, India witnessed a political revival of the Indian society with regional dynasties – largely the Marathas making it big in the subcontinent

With the rise of the Marathas, Varanasi witnessed a massive surge in the new construction of Temples and Ghats on the banks of Ganga and the redevelopment of the old ones.

The Maratha connection to Varanasi goes back to at least 1590, when Narayan Bhatt a Marathi Brahmin assisted Todarmal in rebuilding the Kashi Vishwanath temple (which had been destroyed by Sikander Lodhi and which was in turn destroyed by Aur@ngzeb).

He was the grandfather of Gagabhatt, who presided over Chhatrapati Shivaji’s coronation ceremony in 1674.

MAHARAANI TARARANI: THE QUEEN OF MARATHAS

Rani Tarabai was the brave daughter-in-law of Chhatrapati Shivaji and one of the greatest medieval Monarchs India ever had.
She was born in 1675 to one of the bravest commander-in-chiefs of Shivaji's Army named Hambir Rao Mohite.

Tarabai was just 8yrs old when she was married to Shivaji's younger son, Rajaram. Mughals and Marathas were constantly at war with each other. Shivaji was crowned the ruler of the Independent Maratha Swarajya in 1674 which was established by him.

However,the great leader died in 1680&the Maratha Samrajya went into a complete&total chaos.Marathas saw some very tough times ahead. In 1689,when Raigad Fort fell to the Mughal Army of over 15000,Shivaji's first wife Saibai and his elder son Sambhaji were captured&put to death.

Sambhaji's wife and son Shahu were taken prisoners to the Mughal court. During the same battle, Shivaji's second son Rajaram(Tarabai's husband) , who was the heir to the throne now, managed to escape using a disguise. He made his way to the Gingee Fort in Tamil Nadu.

Mughal General Zulfikar Khan, however, followed them to Gingee laying siege to the Gingee Fort. From 1690-1698,This was the longest siege by a Mughal Army of any Fort which stands testimony to the military and diplomatic credentials of Rani Tarabai.
