The West keeps repeating the same mistake again and again since the Soviets disintegrated 1991. We think that negotiating with gangsters can make them better people. It´s not money-driven behaviour. It´s about breaking moral tabus. This is what it takes to become a real gangster.

This is what Pennyworth in Dark Knight says: "Some guys just want to watch the world burn." There is an empty place in them, where other people have dignity. In order to make this place less itchy, they want to burn down all the different civilizations and people.
