The Suparnika River, which almost touches the Arabian Sea here, makes a U-turn and goes westward to join the sea after a journey of nearly more than 10 km (6.2 mi).

Hidden in Khidrapur on the banks of Krishna River, Kopeshwar Temple in #Maharashtra is a masterpiece of Chalukyan temple architecture. Seen here is the ancient temple's stunning open-to-the-sky 'Swargamandapam'.


It is also accessible from Sangli as well. It was built in the 12th century by Shilahara(Shelara) king Gandaraditya between 1109 and 1178 CE. It is to the east of Kolhapur, ancient & artistic on the bank of the Krishna river.
