Oh man, here we go. Ron Stroman (D) is giving a statement OPPOSING DeJoy's 10-year plan.

This is BIG. This NEVER happens at board of governors meetings. The board HATES exposing public fissures. This a massive fault line.

STROMAN on DeJoy's plan: "Strategically-ill conceived, creates dangerous risks that are not justified by the relatively low financial return, and doesn’t meet our responsibility as an essential part of America’s critical infrastructure."

Wow.

Now HAJJAR, after long preamble, takes aim at the planned mail slowdowns.

@MikeSington Facts are a hard thing, and there's video/audio showing that she was, in fact, verbally warned not to try to break into the chambers.

She ignored the warnings. She committed suicide by cop while engaged in an armed insurrection to overthrow govt.

The lawyer can make all the claims he wants, but the facts and discovery will show that she caused the harm alleged. She put herself in direct harm's way.

And the lawyer should be hit with sanctions for filing a frivolous suit unsupported by the facts or reality.

0:05 - Members of Congress evacuating from the mob
0:18 - First member of mob shatters the glass in the door separating the mob from the fleeing Members of Congress.
0:34 - Mob begins chanting "BREAK IT DOWN!"

1:36 - Officers guarding the door move out of the way, presumably to clear the way for the armed officers who are the last line of defense behind the door.
1:43 - Mob begins more aggressively attacking the damaged glass on the door (BTW, they need some better glass!)

1:58 - Member of mob shouts and continues shouting "THERE'S A GUN!" The gun is clearly visible at this point in the frame. Anyone near the door looking inside would have seen a gun pointed in their direction.

2:11 - 13 seconds after the mob started shouting "THERE'S A GUN!", referring to the gun pointed at them, Ms. Babbitt climbs up through the damaged glass of the right side door.

2:15 - Ms. Babbitt is shot.

Multiple members of the mob were shouting "THERE'S A GUN!" They obviously knew that there were armed officers, weapons drawn, on the other side of the door they were in the process of breaking down, behind which Members of Congress were sheltering in fear.

THREAD: An FBI informant recorded the planning of a KKK plot to kill a Black man in Florida in 2015.

Recordings obtained by @AP provide a detailed look inside the investigation that exposed a murder plot - and the klan’s link to law enforcement.

FBI’s Jacksonville office wanted a confidential informant who had the talent and connections to get inside a violent klan cell, the Traditionalist American Knights of the KKK.

They found him.

The informant was an Army vet and trained sniper, and like many informants he was a risky choice.

He’d had psychotic episodes and ongoing mental health issues, and was fired previously by an FBI agent for blabbing about his work on another case.

But he was a skilled operator.

After making contact with the klan, he signed a blood oath and was “naturalized” into the Invisible Empire of the KKK.

The FBI OK’d him to begin secretly recording.

He professed a background as an elite assassin, and the klan elevated him to “Grand Night Hawk” in charge of group security.

That’s when three klansmen who were current and former prison guards approached him about the murder.
